Computest acquires Incide, targets European expansion

BARCELONA, SPAIN & ZOETERMEER, THE NETHERLANDS — Computest Security, a Netherlands-based cybersecurity expert, has obtained a controlling interest in Incide, a company stationed in Barcelona. This acquisition represents a strategic initiative to create an autonomous European security titan.
The acquisition, sealed in July 2023, serves as Computest’s inaugural move in its pursuit to scale within Europe’s rapidly evolving markets over the subsequent three years.
Hartger Ruijs, CEO of Computest Security EU, noted the cultural cohesion between the two businesses. “We were looking for an organisation that would fit with our culture, where our people and our customers are the absolute core. With Incide we have found such a company,” remarked Ruijs.
Incide, established in 2005, is an authority in the cybersecurity realm. Its offerings span from incident management, digital probes to endpoint security. The firm prides itself on its varied clientele, including banks and entities listed on Spain’s IBEX35 stock index.
Abraham Pasamar, Founder and CEO of Incide, expressed enthusiasm about the union. “Joining forces with Computest Security creates a strong synergy with which we can address a wider market and from which our customers and employees will benefit,” he shared.
Computest, headquartered in the Netherlands, is acclaimed for its preventive and detective services, delivering managed detection, response, and penetration testing. Backed by Mentha Capital since 2021, Computest has recently built a strong customer base of over 300.
Ruijs emphasized the value Incide brings to Computest’s objective of enhancing security. “We want to continue to expand our organisation and also for other ambitious security companies with the same mindset and passion to join us in continuing our growth within Europe,” he elaborated.
Baker Tilly, a leading participant in the global M&A market with over 41,000 staff spread over more than 145 territories, facilitated the dialogue between Computest and Incide.
