Concentrix stresses reskilling, upskilling amid AI surge

CEBU, PHILIPPINES — Customer experience (CX) solutions firm Concentrix emphasized the importance of reskilling and upskilling its Filipino workforce amid the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations.
According to Concentrix Senior VP and Country Leader Amit Jagga, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees must keep pace with the technological advancements and innovations companies are introducing.
“AI and automation have been in existence for the last 15 to 20 years and, together with machine learning, are constantly evolving,” he stated.
Jagga also noted that while repetitive tasks in the industry will be automated, more complex transactions requiring human interaction are set to increase.
He argued that companies need to prioritize continuous training of their talents to ensure they are equipped for the future.
“When you have so much skills, you do not risk the issue of people being left without a job in between because there will be sufficient opportunities,” he said.
Moreover, the Concentrix Philippines chief also warned that individuals who fail to reskill could face difficulties as technologies and global trends evolve, necessitating continual adaptation to remain successful.
