Conduent develops new ticketing software for Trenord

MILAN, ITALY and NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES — Conduent Transportation has developed a new ticketing software for railway company Trenord, giving the firm and its customers access to a suite of new and enhanced features.
The new update will allow Trenord to customize its homepage, change its product offerings, manage accounting data in real time, and monitor machine ticket performance and machine status, among others.
It will also allow Conduent to start new business initiatives, such as selling non-transport-related products and services and cross-selling additional products and services.

Meanwhile, passengers can now buy tickets and top-up contactless cards and tickets. Ticket vending machines accept payment through digital payment apps, contactless credit and debit cards, near-field communication (NFC)-enabled devices, or cash.
Trenord is the first transit firm to use the upgraded platform and is now implemented on 250 ticket vending machines across the Lombardy region, including Milan.
Conduent is looking to enhance the capabilities of ticket vending machines for transport operators globally.
