Cyber attacks, supply chains cause more concern than COVID-19

Companies in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and across the world are more concerned with attacks and supply chain disruptions rather than the pandemic, according to a report from financial services company Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS).
In the Allianz Risk Barometer 2022, 80% of the respondents claimed that they “feel relatively well prepared for a future pandemic.”
AGCS Global Property Industry Lead For Technology, Media And Telecommunications Philip Beblo said that “more organizations [are] investing in tools and systems to improve [the] transparency of supply chains, work through scenarios and update their business continuity.”
The report noted that the topmost concern of businesses is ransomware attacks brought on by digitalization and remote working.
AGCS Global Head of Property Risk Consulting Maarten van der Zwaag noted that there is now “a desire and willingness among top management to bring greater transparency to supply chains and to work with data to better understand the risks” in their operations.
