Cyberbacker CEO arrested for giving son THC edibles

UTAH, UNITED STATES — Craig Goodliffe, the CEO of virtual assistant company Cyberbacker, was arrested last January 8 in Utah on charges of child endangerment, firearms violations, and intoxication.
According to a FOX13 report, the arrest followed a wellness check requested by his mother, leading Weber County Sheriff’s Deputies to uncover disturbing conditions in his home.
Authorities find drugs, firearms, and unsafe living conditions
When deputies arrived at Goodliffe’s residence, they discovered nine large boxes of marijuana products and two unsecured firearms. The home was described as being in a state of severe disarray, with areas reportedly “covered in urine and feces.”
Goodliffe admitted to consuming large quantities of marijuana, Viagra, and caffeine. He also confessed to giving his 8-year-old son a THC-infused edible to help him sleep while he watched pornographic videos.
The child was found in his bedroom and later tested positive for THC at a local hospital. Authorities removed the boy from the home for safety reasons.
Goodliffe remains active on LinkedIn despite arrest
Following the incident, Goodliffe disabled comments on his personal and business Facebook pages but continued posting on LinkedIn.
Just two days after his arrest, he shared a motivational graphic that read: “Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Focus on your character, not your reputation. Focus on your blessings, not your misfortunes.”
Cyberbacker leadership in crisis following CEO’s arrest
Goodliffe is the founder of Cyberbacker, a company that provides virtual assistants to businesses across various industries, with significant traction in real estate. The company serves over 2,000 clients and positions itself as a trusted partner for tasks like transaction management and recruiting.
However, the arrest has cast doubt on the company’s leadership. Goodliffe’s profile has been removed from Keller Williams’ MAPS Coaching website, where he previously held a prominent role as a coach. A Keller Williams spokesperson confirmed awareness of the situation and stated they are gathering more information.
