Deloitte Africa to officially launch a hybrid working model

Auditing firm Deloitte Africa is officially adopting a hybrid working model by allowing staff to split their working time between any of the company’s offices and their chosen remote locations.
Employees who used to work in the company’s head office can move to any town or location provided that they reach their clients.
According to the company’s Managing Partner for People & Purpose Justine Mazzocco, this new working model “will change how our work is done and where it is done.”
The firm stated that this approach is driven by the desire to reduce carbon emissions by cutting down the travel and commute of their employees.
Mazzocco added that the company will focus on supporting people as they transition and try to get the right balance between in-person and virtual work.
Deloitte Africa said that adapting to remote work is important for companies to attract and retain skilled professionals who want to have more work-life balance in their employment.
