Deloitte opens career paths to job seekers without college degrees

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Deloitte, one of the world’s largest consulting and advisory firms, is actively recruiting job seekers who don’t hold a four-year college degree

Through a series of newly formalized career pathways, the company is embracing a skills-first hiring approach to broaden access to professional roles.

“We recognize that there are multiple paths to a successful career,” Deloitte states on its website. “We have designed our programs to provide training and mentorship to help participating individuals hit the ground running.”

Four career pathways for non-degree candidates at Deloitte

To support non-traditional candidates, Deloitte offers four distinct programs:

  1. ENCORE: A return-to-work path for professionals re-entering the workforce after a career break.
  2. Skills-First Professionals: Open to those starting their careers or pivoting to a new role without a degree but with relevant work experience.
  3. Neurodiversity Program: Designed for neurodivergent individuals, offering training and apprenticeships leading to full-time employment.
  4. Hiring Our Heroes: Supports veterans, active-duty service members, and military spouses transitioning into civilian careers.

These programs are part of a broader shift toward recognizing experience, talent, and potential over formal educational credentials.

Embracing skills-first hiring

Deloitte makes it clear: not requiring a degree doesn’t mean lowering standards. Many roles still require demonstrated skills, training, or experience—even if not obtained in a university setting.

Currently open roles include positions such as:
