DTI, AWS partner for digital transformation of businesses

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help local businesses with their digital transition.
AWS, an Amazon subsidiary, had signed a memorandum of agreement with DTI to train entrepreneurs and innovators in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, and public sector agencies to boost their digital skills.
As part of the partnership, DTI will utilize the cloud capabilities of AWS, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and the internet of things (IoT) to enhance innovation and drive economic growth in the Philippines.
“It is critical to forge partnerships with leading global innovators that would promote innovation among Philippine businesses and accelerate their adoption of digital technologies,” said Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual.
