DTI launches AI roadmap
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has recently launched its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap as it aims to make the big data processing “the next sunny sector” in the country after the outsourcing industry.
According to DTI Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, the AI roadmap aims to increase the adoption and utilization of AI in various sectors, including the agriculture, automotive, smart manufacture, health-care services and BPO sectors.
The country’s strategy also targets to boost the regional and global competitiveness of the local industry through AI, as it “aims to put forward approaches for preparing the future workforce for the jobs of the future” while attracting the “biggest industries to set up shop in the country.
