Dubai-based iSON to generate jobs in South Africa

Global customer experience (CX) management firm iSON Xperiences is planning to bring its outsourcing international intellectual property unit to South Africa to harness local talent and create more job opportunities in the country.
This move comes after the Dubai-based firm acquired the local Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company Altron People Solutions.
iSON Global CEO Pravin Kumar said that they are “looking to gain a foothold in the country and make more jobs available to South Africans in ways that made the most strategic sense for us.”
The CX firm, which now has more than 2,300 local customer agents, stated that they are looking forward to providing good customer experiences for all the local on-shoring needs of customers.
Meanwhile, BPO industry body Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPESA) said that the sector has created more than 50,000 jobs over the past four years, contributing to the country’s efforts of reducing its high youth unemployment rate.
BPESA stated that the timing of iSON and Altron’s merger “could not have been better” as it presented the former a way to build its SA base, particularly in telecommunications.
