Easing of travel restrictions attract BPOs, POGOs to PH

The easing of travel restrictions is attracting Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies and Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to invest in the country, said property advisory firm Leechiu Property Consultants (LPC).
LPC CEO David Leechiu said that the arrival of new BPO firms and the comeback of POGOs will boost the Philippine real estate market.
Leechiu stated that many BPO firms, particularly newcomers, are planning to put up their operations in the country. Most of which are in the healthcare sector from the United States and Europe.
The CEO added that the arrival of these new businesses emphasizes the need to establish more economic zones in Manila.
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), on their part, is urging the government to lift the ban on new ecozones in the National Capital Region (NCR) to encourage newcomers from the BPO sector to open their offices in the Philippines.
