EDGE Tutor raises $1Mn for global expansion
MANILA, PHILIPPINES — EDGE Tutor International, Southeast Asia’s growing online tutoring outsourcing company, has successfully secured a $1 million pre-series A funding round.
This investment follows an $800,000 seed round in 2023 and will fuel the company’s expansion into North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Ambitious growth targets through 2026
The company aims to increase its tutor capacity from 1,000 to 5,000 by 2026 and invest in AI-driven automation for teacher training and quality control.
Revenue from these regions has grown from 5% in 2022 to 30% in 2024, with projections to surpass 50% by 2026.

The company is present in New York, London, Singapore, and Manila, bridging the gap between high-quality Filipino educators and tutoring companies worldwide.
The pre-series A round was led by Seaborne Capital, M Venture Partners, Kaya Founders, Orvel Ventures, IdeaSpace, Lorinet Foundation, and prominent angel investors. This investment will further enhance global access to world-class tutors while providing them with training and technology to excel in online teaching.
