Elevate expands Asian language expertise with CJK acquisition

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Legal outsourcing firm Elevate has acquired The CJK Group, a provider of multilingual eDiscovery and document review services specializing in Asian languages.
The deal combines Elevate’s extensive portfolio of software, consulting, and services with CJK’s expertise in handling legal matters involving languages, particularly Chinese, Japanese, and Korean content.
Founded in 2012, The CJK Group offers managed services and deploys multi-language professionals in Asia and North America.
“Customers who trust Elevate for English and European language review will now benefit from CJK’s bilingual attorneys, project managers, and experts for efficiency and excellence in software-powered Asian-language reviews,” said Jake Hills, Elevate’s Vice President of Discovery.
CJK founder joins Elevate as VP
As part of the acquisition, CJK founder Jonathan Rossi will join Elevate as Vice President. Based in the U.S. and Japan, CJK specializes in the review and categorization of multi-language data.
“Our expertise-led processes will be immensely useful to Elevate’s global customer base. I am delighted that CJK can now offer English language review at a scale previously unavailable to us, as well as a global footprint, with offices in the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia,” Rossi said.
