EMEA IT and business services market ‘remains robust,’ hits $6bn in Q1

The Information Technology (IT) and business services sector in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region remain robust due to the record demand in the first quarter of the year, according to ISG’s latest state-of-the-industry report.
The report measured commercial outsourcing contracts with annual contract value (ACV) of $5 million or more to determine the region’s overall market performance.
This revealed that ‘as a service’ and managed services, the combined market generated $6 billion for the second consecutive quarter, climbing 20 per cent year on year.
“The region is seeing strength in both the ‘as a service’ segment, as more and more enterprises adopt a public or hybrid cloud strategy, and on the managed services side, which is experiencing a resurgence,” commented ISG EMEA President Steve Hall.
