Fiji’s BPO sector highlights its “timezone advantage” to EU investors

Fiji’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is considering its timezone to be its major advantage for the European Union (EU) market’s outsourcing sector
Outsource Fiji Executive Director Sagufta Janif emphasized that the 11-hour time difference between Fiji and its EU clients allows them to offer “round the clock” support.
Janif said this statement during his participation in the 22nd ‘Shared Services and Outsourcing Week (SSOW) in Lisbon, Portugal.
The Outsource Fiji chief said that this event gives them an opportunity to learn about the latest global trends in the sector.
“We are getting to engage with a lot of brands and learning a bit of insight around the outsourcing space here. This gives an opportunity to understand the demands of consumers and clients as well,” Janif stated.
The three-day expo is also expected to enable Fiji to directly engage with potential companies and investors.
The annual expo is the largest shared services event in Europe and has attracted over 400 attendees, including representatives from Microsoft, DHL, Tesco, and Lufthansa Airline.
The SSOW 2022 is being held from May 23 to 25.
