Five in 10 hybrid team managers are investing in workplace culture to increase productivity

About 53% of remote or hybrid team managers are investing in workplace culture for increased productivity, staff engagement, and improved retention, according to a study by SaaS-based global employment partner Omnipresent and software firm Remote Social.
Out of all respondents, 62% of managers claimed that their investment of US$51-100 per employee, per month results in better productivity and profitability.
Meanwhile, 52% said that they are seeing better work-life balance in their teams and 50% have seen improved internal communication.
However, Omnipresent and Remote Social noted that some teams are still struggling in key areas.
Even if they have seen improvements in workplace culture, 70% of fully remote workers and 57% of hybrid workers claim they lack work communication, collaboration opportunities, or tools to do their work effectively.
To solbe this, Omnipresent Head of People and Talent Kate Gray said that employers must be “deliberate in how and what they communicate with staff, while also delivering the tools and opportunities staff need to feel part of a team and work toward a shared goal.”
Gray added that while strog intent is the key for other teams, “cultural strategies should be tailored to teams’ specific needs.”
Omnipresent and Remote Social’s report includes responses from 1,192 HR managers and company leaders from the UK, Australia, USA and Canada.
