Five9 CFO Zwarenstein retires after 13 years, Lee steps in

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Five9 Inc., a provider of cloud contact center solutions, announced that its long-time Chief Financial Officer, Barry Zwarenstein, will be retiring effective March 31.
Leadership transition details
Taking on the interim CFO role will be Bryan Lee, Executive Vice President of Finance, as of April 1. The firm will formally seek a permanent CFO, with Lee as an internal candidate.
Zwarenstein, who has spent more than 13 years at Five9, was instrumental during key stages of the company’s expansion. He will stay with the firm until the end of June to assist with the transition and will remain as a consultant until the end of September.

Bryan Lee’s background
Lee, who arrived at Five9 in 2014, has served in several senior finance roles within the company and has an investment banking background.
“Having worked closely with Bryan during his tenure at Five9, I am excited to have him step into the interim CFO role, and I am confident in his ability to excel, and he will be an internal candidate in the search process,” Zwarenstein remarked on his successor.
