Foundever enters South Africa with new center, hiring 3,800 jobs
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA — Global customer experience provider Foundever has launched its first South African operation in Cape Town. This move includes a commitment to hire approximately 3,000 employees by 2026, adding to the 800 already employed since its initial opening in June last year.
Foundever’s global executive team, including President and CEO Laurent Uberti, Global COO Olivier Camino, and Chief People Officer Jag Dhanji, graced the grand opening of the state-of-the-art contact center at the V&A Waterfront. They were joined by local dignitaries such as James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth in Cape Town, and Mireille Wenger, Provincial Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities.
“I am excited to be part of this amazing opportunity to take the CX industry in South Africa to the next level with the support of our multinational team,” said Nita Morgan, Foundever’s first female Country Manager leading an international BPO in the country.
“Our goal in South Africa is to become the employer of choice for people wanting to build a career in the BPO industry – we are not just creating jobs, we are launching careers.”
The new operation will provide digital-first customer experience solutions and English language support for Foundever’s global clients. According to Karl Brough, the company’s general manager for the United Kingdom, Ireland, and South Africa, eight of these clients are already being serviced from Cape Town.

South African government welcomes Foundever
Cape Town city officials welcomed Foundever’s investment, which aligns with goals to add 10,000 new jobs to the city’s existing 90,000 customer experience roles by mid-2024.
“We are proud to have helped facilitate the establishment of the new Foundever office in the Mother City, with Cape BPO contact centre trainees also being employed in the company’s new workforce,” said James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
