Concentrix, PEZA launch ‘Gadgets for Good’ to bridge digital divide

PASAY and QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES — Concentrix, a provider of technology services, has collaborated with government agencies, including the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), resulting in the donation of over 500 computers to schools in the MIMAROPA region.
The Gadgets for Good program aims to equip students with sufficient technology, enabling them to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
Public-private partnership drives digital inclusion in education
Besides PEZA, Concentrix is also in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in this project that is aligned with the national objectives of promoting digital literacy and bridging the technology divide in schools, especially in low-income neighborhoods.
This demonstrates the success of a public-private partnership as a strategy to tackle gaps in various areas, such as education.
Tech access critical for preparing students for the digital future
The Gadgets for Good project aims to simultaneously address the pressing need for access to technology and the fact that educational institutions in remote areas, such as MIMAROPA, lack access to technology.
As digital skills are an asset that students cannot ignore anymore, the initiative helps ensure that pupils do not fall behind in an age where connectivity and tech skills determine opportunities.
Donations made by Concentrix are also an indication that companies have developed the understanding that investment in education is the ultimate way to a sustainable economy and society.
“By equipping students with the necessary equipment, ‘Gadgets for Good’ enables them to engage more fully in their education and ensures that they are prepared to meet the demands of the digital era,” said Tonichi Parekh, Vice President of Client Success at Concentrix Philippines, noting that it will push students to play an active role in fulfilling their educational aspirations and be equipped with digital skills.
‘Gadgets for Good’ sets example for CSR in outsourcing sector
Concentrix’s “Gadgets for Good” initiative highlights the transformative power of private-public partnerships. By providing equipment to learners, the company not only prepares future-ready students but also defines corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the outsourcing sector.
Concentrix is only one of the examples of how CSR can have a significant influence on the outsourcing process, and other organizations can also highlight their activities and receive recognition by participating in the Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR) 2025 by Outsource Accelerator, where purpose-driven activities are promoted and put into the spotlight in the global arena.
Beyond CSR initiatives, Concentrix also recently ranked #6 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
