GCQ in NCR Plus extended until June 15
Metro Manila and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan – also called NCR Plus – will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with restrictions from June 1 to 15.
In his weekly address, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that the restriction will be for the entire month of June. However, a later statement issued by Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarified that this will only be until June 15.
Health experts have reported that the COVID-19 situation in the country has improved, but the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) decided to extend the imposition of heightened GCQ.
