GenAI gains trust among global professionals, says LexisNexis

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — LexisNexis, a provider of legal, regulatory, and business information and analytics, has released its Future of Work Report 2024, which revealed a positive stance toward generative AI (GenAI) among professionals worldwide.
The survey of over 500 respondents across diverse industries showed that 72% anticipate a positive impact from GenAI on daily work, while 82% expect it to take over repetitive administrative tasks, boosting productivity and growth.
Notably, only 4% see GenAI as a threat to job security, with 45% reporting improved job satisfaction. Furthermore, 74% expressed optimism about GenAI’s impact on organizational performance.

Other key findings include:
- GenAI is seen as valuable across industries, including risk, legal, marketing, sales, IT, strategy, finance, and more.
- 92% of professionals are curious about GenAI’s creative potential, with 86% willing to embrace it for creative and professional work.
- 69% of respondents use GenAI to assist with daily tasks.
- 97% say human validation of GenAI outputs is important, and 80% emphasize transparency and explainability.
The LexisNexis report echoes the comprehensive study of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), in which 90% of respondents are optimistic about GenAI’s potential to reshape work dynamics.
Gartner’s survey found that 38% of HR leaders are already implementing GenAI in their functions.
