Genesys strengthens European presence with new Budapest R&D center

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY — Genesys, a global IT company specializing in customer experience (CX) and contact center solutions, has opened a new research and development (R&D) center in Budapest.
The new facility signifies Genesys’ commitment to Hungary and Europe as a strategic hub for developing artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies. These technologies drive the Genesys Cloud CX platform, which combines customer and employee engagement tools for businesses worldwide.

This move signifies the company’s deepening roots in Hungary since its strategic acquisition of LogMeIn’s Bold 360 product. The Budapest team has grown threefold in two years to nearly 200 employees.
The new center will further enhance Genesys’ prowess in cloud-based CX solutions. This contributes to an impressive portfolio serving over 4,500 clients across diverse industries.
With over 50% year-over-year revenue growth in Q2 2024, the Genesys Cloud CX platform now boasts nearly 1 million users and $1.2 billion in annual recurring revenue. The Budapest team will be instrumental in developing AI features that streamline customer interactions.
