GFT acquires Brazil’s Megawork to expand SAP and AI services

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — GFT Technologies SE has announced the acquisition of Megawork Consultoria e Sistemas Ltda., a Brazilian SAP consultancy, in an all-cash deal set to bolster GFT’s five-year growth strategy in digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and SAP consulting.
While the specific terms of the transaction were not announced, it is expected to close by late 2025, pending regulatory approval in Brazil, which will deepen GFT’s commitment to high-value-added services focused on AI and SAP.
Strengthening GFT’s SAP and AI capabilities
With the acquisition of Megawork, GFT formally enters the SAP ecosystem.
“Megawork’s SAP expertise, combined with GFT’s leadership in cloud and AI, forms a powerful growth engine for the future,” said Marco Santos, Global CEO of GFT.
GFT plans to integrate its GenAI product, Wynxx, into Megawork’s SAP offerings, aiming to accelerate migration and implementation by over 40%. Services will include SAP implementation, upgrades, cloud migrations, and comprehensive ongoing support.

Expansion across high-growth sectors and new markets
The deal enables GFT to expand its reach in key industry sectors, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, the public sector, energy, and consumer goods, where SAP adoption is high. It also unlocks cross-selling opportunities: existing GFT clients can now access Megawork’s SAP services, while Megawork’s customers benefit from GFT’s expertise in AI, cloud transformation, and data platforms.
With Megawork’s 350 skilled SAP specialists, this expansion combines global scale with local expertise.
“Megawork becoming part of GFT gives our clients access to a global talent pool, cutting-edge innovation, and a broader set of capabilities to support their digital transformation journeys,” said Alexandro Carvalho, CEO of Megawork.
Enhanced financial strength and international reach
Megawork reported approximately €14 million (US$15.2 million) in 2024, with an EBITDA margin of 21%.
GFT, meanwhile, employs more than 12,000 technology professionals across over 20 countries, delivering digital transformation solutions including advanced data and AI, modernization of tech architecture, and industry-specific core systems. GFT achieved €441.51 million (US$519 million) in revenue in the first half of 2025.
Looking ahead
The Megawork acquisition is fully financed with GFT’s existing resources. The current Megawork leadership will remain onboard to ensure seamless integration. As GFT accelerates its high-margin SAP and AI services, the company aims to “deliver real business impact” for clients worldwide by providing next-generation digital solutions.
The transaction is pending approval by Brazilian antitrust authorities and is expected to close within the current fiscal year.
