Ghana partners with BPO firm CCI to create 20,000 jobs

ACCRA, GHANA — Ghana is poised to become a major player in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector through a new partnership with CCI, one of the leading BPO operators in sub-Saharan Africa.
During the 2024 Budget presentation, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta announced that CCI will collaborate with the government to establish a state-of-the-art call center projected to create 20,000 jobs for the country’s young graduates.
This aligns with CCI‘s track record of empowering African youth and driving economic growth across the continent.
The company already operates in South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Ghana, providing customer experience solutions to over 80 leading brands across the USA, UK, Australia and Africa.
Ofori-Atta says the move is part of a broader strategy: “Our goal is to [realize] Ghana’s potential to become a global BPO powerhouse, employing over 250,000 Ghanaians over the next few years,” he added.
Preparations are already underway, with office space earmarked for the call center operations. CCI’s partnership with the Youth Employment Agency aims to tap into the nation’s talented youth population.
