GlobalLogic acquires Sidero to boost EU influence

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES & ATHLONE, IRELAND — Hitachi Group digital engineering subsidiary GlobalLogic recently acquired Sidero Ltd., an Irish engineering and cloud-native software development firm.
The move bolsters GlobalLogic’s presence in Europe and enriches its proficiency in the dynamic Communications technology field.
Sidero, a specialist in communications, augments GlobalLogic’s already substantial engineering portfolio. Sidero’s expertise lies in Radio Access Networks (RAN), Self-Optimizing Networks (SON), Cloud, and Agile development, aligning with GlobalLogic’s tech strengths.
“We are thrilled to welcome the talented Sidero team into the GlobalLogic family,” said GlobalLogic President and CEO Nitesh Banga.
“Our deep roots in Communications technology are a perfect complement to Sidero’s expertise and competencies. With our combined strengths, we will bring tremendous value to our mutual clients and further enhance our leadership in this and other highly dynamic verticals,” he added.
Sidero CEO Carmel Owens shared the enthusiasm, anticipating the unique capabilities and increased value the merged entities will offer customers globally.
Sidero will remain a GlobalLogic wholly-owned subsidiary, retaining its current leadership and personnel. The undisclosed terms are under regulatory scrutiny, with closure expected by the end of 2023.
