Globant buys Iteris, deepens Brazil foothold

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Tech firm Globant has acquired business and technology consultancy firm Iteris Holding Ltda. (Iteris), establishing a firmer foothold in Brazil.
Founded in 2009, Iteris has clients from the banking, manufacturing, communications, education, retail, and healthcare industries. Globant, founded in 2003, is expected to benefit especially from the banking sector with the aid of Iteris’ 600-strong workforce.
“Brazil is one of the top bets for Globant in Latin America. Globant already enjoys a strong presence in key industries and will now be able to enhance its local teams with great digital transformation projects and new teams of expert specialists,” said Ignacio Iglesias, Chief Business Officer in Latin America at Globant, based in São Paulo.
The new deal comes after Globant opened its new offices in São Paulo in August 2023. The new center features a Center for Innovation in Emerging Technologies. Globant aims to strengthen its initiatives in artificial intelligence, Salesforce, quantum computing, and other tech solutions through this new center.
In addition to Iteris, Globant has made three prior acquisitions in Brazil: cloud services companies Avanxo in March 2019, gA in August 2020 and Salesforce partner Nescara in August 2023.
