Gov’t, private sector sign deal for 20 million Moderna vaccine doses

The national government, private sector, and Moderna, Inc. sealed a deal for 20 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, making it the country’s largest vaccine supply deal to date.
The government procured 13 million doses, while the private sector, led by International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) Chairman Enrique K. Razon Jr. will get 7 million doses for their workers. However the list of companies getting the Moderna vaccines are not yet revealed.
Vaccine czar Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. further said that the delivery of Moderna vaccines will take place in the second quarter, and mass vaccinations will be held from May to June.
