ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES — Grant Thornton, one of the largest professional services brands in the United States and Ireland, has announced new leadership appointments within its multinational industry practice.

The firm appointed Shona O’Hea as the head of Asset Management, Tyler Jones as the head of Energy, and Scott McGurl as the head of Healthcare.

“Today’s unique business climate is impacting all industries in a way that requires leaders to be future-focused and adaptable,” said Martin Shanahan, head of Industry for Grant Thornton Advisors LLC.

“Shona, Tyler and Scott all have a track record of bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the firm’s international client base, while seamlessly delivering high-quality services. They are the right leaders to help our clients thrive across these important industry sectors.”

Experienced executives to drive sector growth

O’Hea, based in Dublin, Ireland, brings over 20 years of experience to her new role as head of Asset Management. She will work with Grant Thornton’s global Asset Management professionals to identify industry trends and create solutions for clients. O’Hea also serves as the global head of Asset Management for the Grant Thornton International Ltd network.

On the other hand, Jones, based in Dallas, Texas, steps in as head of Energy. With two decades of public accounting experience, Jones has advised both domestic and multinational energy clients, including those involved with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Additionally, McGurl, based in Tampa, Florida, has become the head of Healthcare. McGurl has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences, helping clients achieve strategic growth and operational improvements.
