Greater Manila Area shifts to MECQ
Metro Manila and the nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal will be under the less strict Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from April 12 to 30.
In a virtual presser, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque added that Santiago City in Isabela and Abra and Quirino provinces will also be classified as MECQ areas until the end of the month. Roque also noted that new details regarding this quarantine classification will be discussed in his briefing later today.
Further, Metro Manila mayors will be implementing adjusted curfew hours of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. during MECQ. Authorized persons will be exempted from the curfew hours.
