HCLTech, Xerox extend partnership for AI-driven transformation

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES & NOIDA, INDIA — HCLTech and Xerox have agreed to extend their long-standing partnership, setting their sights on AI-driven engineering services and digital process operations.
This collaboration is set to propel Xerox’s ambitious “Reinvention” initiative, which aims to fundamentally redesign the company for sustainable growth and profitability.
Revolutionizing Xerox’s operations with AI
HCLTech is rolling up its sleeves to help Xerox streamline its operations and drive key business metrics, particularly through the newly formed Xerox Global Business Services organization (GBS).
By leveraging its expertise in automation, product engineering, and process operations, HCLTech will transform how Xerox employees and clients interact with the company’s systems.
Louie Pastor, Xerox’s executive vice president and chief transformation officer, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “As we continue our Reinvention, our aim is to drive enterprise-wide efficiency by centralizing processes, platforms, and capabilities.”
“By extending our agreement with HCLTech and leveraging its expertise, Xerox will become more agile while continuously improving employee and client experiences,” he added.
Implementing cutting-edge AI technology
HCLTech’s advanced GenAI platform, HCLTech AI Force, will deliver a unified interface for Xerox. This technology aligns with the growing trend of AI integration in business processes across industries.
“We are proud to partner with Xerox and look forward to deepening our collaboration to drive strategic value in new service development, growth and cost optimization,” said Raghu Kidambi, corporate vice president at HCLTech.
“We are dedicated to supporting Xerox in navigating the workplace evolution, enabling a more AI-driven, engineering services-led and software-enabled organization.”
A partnership built on innovation
The relationship between HCLTech and Xerox dates back to 2009. It initially focused on product engineering, IT, and process support services.
Over the years, their joint efforts have yielded 215 U.S. patents and the establishment of world-class R&D labs integrated with Xerox’s infrastructure and standards.
As a leading global technology company, HCLTech reported revenues of $13.3 billion for the fiscal year 2024 and boasts a workforce of over 227,000 across 60 countries. The company recently ranked #7 in the OA500 2024, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms.
Xerox, a pioneer in document solutions, posted revenue of $6.89 billion in 2023 and employs around 20,500 people worldwide.
This is not the first time Xerox partnered with another outsourcing company for AI. Back in June, it broadened its alliance with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to revolutionize Xerox’s IT infrastructure using cloud technology and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
