Health Advocates Network buys Staff America

FLORIDA, UNITED STATES — Health Advocates Network, Inc., headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, has confirmed the purchase of Staff America Medical Staffing, marking its fourth acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The deal further solidifies Health Advocates’ position in the healthcare staffing industry, where it has rapidly become a major player since its inception in January 2020.
Ocala, Florida-based staffing agency Staff America, founded in 2001, has expertise in hiring registered nurses, licensed practical/vocational nurses, and therapists for assignments across Florida and the Midwest. The company provides top-tier healthcare professionals to regional markets.
Continued growth and market impact
The merger promises enhanced career opportunities for Staff America’s workforce, according to Michael Arthur, founder and CEO of Staff America, who will stay on as a consultant moving toward retirement.
“The combination of Health Advocates’ experienced management team and deep resources will allow for expanded career opportunities for both the Staff America field and internal staff as well as continued geographical expansion,” Arthur commented in a recent press release.
Eddie Albert, director of M&A at Health Advocates, expressed enthusiasm about scaling the company’s nursing presence in critical markets through this acquisition. “Our partnership with Mike continues to scale Health Advocates’ nursing presence in two key markets,” Albert stated.
Strategic outlook and future plans
With a history of acquisitions, including Medical Temps Inc., DiagnosTemps, and WorkSquare earlier this quarter, Health Advocates Network is reinforcing its infrastructure and expanding its service capabilities across the United States. The company has been listed among the largest healthcare staffing firms and recently achieved recognition as #300 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America.
The acquisition spree is part of a broader strategy to enhance Health Advocates’ service offerings in the travel nurse and allied healthcare sectors, with plans to pursue additional acquisitions in early 2025.
