Hybrid helped Filipinos save P340K a year — Cisco report

About 89% of Filipino workers were able to save P342,394 (US$6,548) per year with the hybrid working arrangement.
According to a report released by teach firm Cisco, 90% of respondents were able to cut costs on fuel amid the pandemic, 90% saved up on commuting costs, and 76% were able to save up on food and entertainment expenses.
Meanwhile, most of the respondents (or 89%) believe that they can keep these savings long-term if they could continue hybrid working.
With its cost-effectiveness, Cisco stated that at least 60% of Filipino employees prefer a hybrid work setup in their companies more than other arrangements.
Aside from the sound effects on workers’ financial well-being, the study found that hybrid work arrangement was also beneficial to Filipino employees’ work-life balance and productivity.
Data from the study showed that 86% of respondents said that the time away from the office improved their work-life balance.
Cisco surveyed 1,050 full-time employees in the Philippines between January and March 2022. The study covered different generations, gender, and seniority who believed that hybrid work improved the employees’ well-being, work-life balance, relationships, and personal confidence.
