Hybrid work catalyzes Southeast Asia growth, says WeWork
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Flexible workspace provider WeWork has identified the hybrid work trend as a driving factor for its expansion in Southeast Asia.
WeWork Southeast Asia Portfolio Director Dylan Burke emphasized how the demand for large meeting rooms surges as offices transform into ‘commute-worthy’ collaboration hubs.
Companies embracing hybrid work schemes are reconsidering their workspace needs, reducing demand for traditional long-term leases and full-floor spaces.
WeWork’s adaptable solutions, including All Access and On Demand services and workspace management software, address these evolving requirements.
WeWork witnessed a 77.5% increase in All Access bookings in Q1 compared to the previous quarter. This indicates the growing demand for flexible workspaces, with Southeast Asia, led by the Philippines, emerging as a significant growth region. The company reported an 83% occupancy rate in the Asia-Pacific region, the highest globally.
Operating four locations in the Philippines, WeWork serves a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations, SMEs, startups, and individual entrepreneurs.
With global workspace access, networking opportunities, and flexible leasing terms, WeWork is facilitating businesses in adapting to the changing work landscape.
