Hybrid work vital for positive employee experience – CEO survey

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — A new report from global technology services provider NTT Ltd. emphasizes the importance of flexible hybrid work arrangements and advanced technologies in providing quality employee experiences.
The 2023 Global Employee Experience Trends Report surveyed 1,442 CEOs and found strong links between hybrid work and bottom-line business growth.
Findings showed 90% of companies acknowledge hybrid and remote work benefits their bottom line. However, only 48% strongly believe their employees have the seamless technology to enable flexible work.
Many organizations now use structured hybrid models, with 56% of hybrid employees working from the office half the week.
Though hybrid work is crucial for positive employee experiences, equipping staff with required technology anywhere is vital, according to NTT.
Firms investing more in IT and employee experience technologies saw greater benefits: 56% more likely to report improved business growth and 89% more likely to report significantly higher employee satisfaction.
“The disconnect between what employees need and what businesses provide them with is still too large. Too often we see hybrid working strategies focusing on one type of working style, despite employees wanting the flexibility to work in a way that suits them,” said Amit Dhingra, EVP Network Services at NTT.
Though AI was ranked the #1 future enabler of customer and employee experiences, 87% stressed that human-led support for customer engagement remains key.
