IBM and AWS partner on GenAI adoption

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — IBM announced an expanded partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver generative AI solutions to enterprise clients.
The companies plan to jointly develop and deploy solutions upgraded with generative AI across critical use cases.
IBM Consulting aims to train 10,000 consultants on AWS generative AI by the end of 2024 to serve clients better.
“This suite of reengineered solutions with embedded generative AI capabilities can help our mutual clients scale generative AI applications rapidly and responsibly on their platform of choice,” said Manish Goyal, Senior Partner at IBM Consulting.
Initial focus areas include contact centers, cloud platform services, and supply chain operations.
IBM Consulting worked with AWS on a contact center solution using generative AI for voice and text conversations. This enables smooth transfers between bots and agents.
AWS platform services will leverage generative AI to enhance IT operations, automation, and engineering. Supply chain professionals will get a virtual assistant to optimize workflows.
Additionally, IBM Consulting will integrate AWS AI services into its Cloud Accelerator tool to speed up cloud migrations. IBM’s watsonx platform will also become available as SaaS on AWS Marketplace.
