MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) has partnered with StackTrek, a global provider of AI and programming training solutions, to enable the digital workforce in the Philippines and capitalize on AI opportunities.

The National IT Talent Development initiative aligns with the Philippine IT-BPM Industry Roadmap 2028, which seeks to create 1.1 million new jobs by 2028.

The partnership will focus on integrating industry-relevant skills training into the curriculum and internships of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and launching IT career initiatives across the country.

It includes the AI and Programming Academy, offering tailored learning programs and a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS) to empower businesses in the digital age and prepare them for an AI-driven future.

Another component called StackLab specializes in establishing AI Research and Development (R&D) units and delivering AI software applications to clients.

“Through StackLab, businesses can benefit from comprehensive training and continuous skills development to create dedicated AI R&D units customized to their specific needs,” IBPAP said in a statement.

The AI Executive Education Program, the third component, offers intensive learning and consulting sessions led by expert trainers, allowing participants to share experiences and receive personalized guidance and feedback.

StackTrek CEO Bill Yuen believes the partnership will help the Philippine IT-BPM industry seize the economic opportunity presented by AI.

“We believe that with our combined expertise, resources and vision, we can empower individuals and organizations to embrace AI, redefine business landscapes, and drive the industry forward,” Yuen added.

IBPAP President and CEO Jack Madrid emphasized the importance of proactive collaboration in empowering Filipino talent for an AI-driven economy.

“Through partnerships with both the public and private sectors, and a steadfast commitment to continuous upskilling and reskilling, the Philippine IT-BPM industry will remain highly sought-after and globally competitive,” said Madrid.
