The country’s premier IT and BPO association is considering the help of advertising agencies to further promote the Philippines as an attractive investment destination for outsourcing services.
Rey C. Untal, CEO and president of the Information Technology and Business Process Association (IBPAP), revealed that the association plans to work with ad agencies this year to attract more investment in the outsourcing sector and to improve the overall market perception of the country. Tapping ad agencies is part of IBPAP’s plans to assist the industry in meeting its revised forecast.
The country’s outsourcing industry cut its revenue and employment targets after a recent slowdown. IBPAP is also working on plans to upskill employees by partnering with government agencies to create talent development programs.
