IBPAP willing to follow FIRB’s on-site work rules

The IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) is willing to accept the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) 10% on-site work rule that is based on employee headcount, said IBPAP Board of Trustee Celeste Ilagan.
In an interview with One News PH, Ilagan said that the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry appreciates FIRB’s decision and is ready to encourage employees to go back to their offices.
Ilagan discussed that the outsourcing sector has been working in a hybrid approach since the pandemic started as they are among the “essential industries” that are allowed to operate 100% during the health crisis.
The IBPAP board member stated that they are allowing companies to create their strategy in “letting people back to work.”
In addition, IBPAP is encouraging their workforce to get vaccinated so that there is “less concern for their health and safety if ever they need to go back to work already.”
BPO employees can get their vaccinations through IBPAP’s internal vaccination program or their local government units.
