IGT Solutions to be the first BPO firm in Pavia, Iloilo
India-based IGT Solutions will be the first call center firm to invest in the province of Pavia, Iloilo, according to the province’s local economic and investment promotion officer Velma Jane Lao.
IGT’s Pavia expansion will be the contact center’s main branch in Iloilo and will generate about 250 jobs before the end of 2021, with the possibility of adding 1,000 more employees by next year.
The new company will provide service in Pavia and its neighboring towns including San Miguel, Oton, Cabatuan, and Santa Barbara.
Lao welcomes this new investment in the province as the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector has sustained their economy amid the pandemic.
“I think this is timely for those who lost their jobs and for call center agents who came home from Manila. This time they have an option,” she added.
IGT Solutions is currently in the process of hiring and aims to start the training process next month.
