India’s BPO summit spotlights AI, industry growth

NEW DELHI, INDIA — The third annual BPO and Contact Centre Summit & Awards, organized by Brainalytics, recently took place in New Delhi, highlighting key players and trends in India’s rapidly evolving outsourcing industry.
The summit facilitated discussions on pressing industry issues, such as automation and the expanding role of AI in customer service.
With its youthful population, India is a thriving hub for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The summit delved into how the industry quickly adopts emerging technologies like AI to be more self-reliant and strategic.
India’s BPO industry has experienced significant growth, with the demand for Indian BPO services growing at an annual rate of 50%. The country currently holds a 63% share of the offshore BPO market.
