Indian e-recruitment rose by 9% in November

Online recruitment in India grew by nine per cent in November 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, according to the latest Monster Employment Index (MEI).
The Index — which is a comprehensive analysis of online hiring activity by job search website Monster India — reported a rise in 20 of the 27 sectors that they are monitoring.
Office Equipment/Automation noted a significant rise in e-recruitment activity by 69 per cent, followed by Telecom/ISP with 52 per cent and Printing/Packaging with 40 per cent.
In contrast, the retail industry had the steepest decline in recruitment with 19 per cent.
Meanwhile, online demand for professionals increased in four out of the 13 functional areas that are tracked by MEI.
Software, Hardware, Telecom employees, and Senior Management professionals were in huge demand during the period, up by 29 per cent each. Recruitment in HR & Admin also saw a consistent growth with 20 per cent, followed by Finance and Accounts with 18 per cent.
However, the customer service, hospitality & travel, and sales & business development sectors saw a decline in hiring activity, shrinking by 11 per cent, 12 per cent, and 19 per cent respectively.
By experience level, demand for entry-level job seekers grew by six per cent, intermediate level roles by 29 per cent, and mid-senior level roles by 42 per cent.
Senior-level recruitment rose by 22 per cent, while leadership roles with more than 16 years of experience grew by 71 per cent.
