Indra opens high-tech support services center in Colombia

BOGOTA, COLOMBIA — Spanish technology and defense giant Indra Sistemas has inaugurated its first Support Services Center in Bogotá, Colombia, according to a report from Nearshore Americas.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to provide advanced technological solutions for security forces across Latin America, enhancing operational effectiveness and regional security capabilities.
Technological empowerment of local forces
Equipped with the latest predictive tools, the Bogotá center will strengthen the capabilities of military and security personnel. A team of locally sourced engineers, receiving specialized training from Indra’s Spanish experts via online technical assistance, will staff the center.
Indra plans to extend its footprint by establishing similar facilities and alliances throughout Latin America, facilitating localized maintenance and implementing knowledge and technology transfer mechanisms to strengthen indigenous capabilities.
Indra’s presence in Latin America comes with operations in ten countries and a workforce of over 16,000 professionals in the region.
The company develops critical technologies such as radars, command and control systems, electronic defense systems, and advanced cybersecurity solutions. Its products are crucial in addressing regional challenges such as airspace defense, border surveillance, and protection of natural resources.
