Infosys, Anthropic partner on agentic AI for enterprises

BENGALURU, INDIA, and CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Infosys and Anthropic announced a strategic collaboration to deliver advanced enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) solutions across telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and software development

The partnership integrates Anthropic’s Claude models with the Infosys Topaz AI platform to automate complex workflows and build agentic AI systems tailored for regulated industries.

Enterprise AI expansion in telecom, finance, and manufacturing

The partnership starts with a pure Anthropic Center of Excellence focused on the telecommunications industry, as part of an effort to tackle one of the most operationally complex and highly regulated sectors in the world.

This will bring together the expertise of Infosys and the leadership technologies of Anthropic to create AI agents that will help network operations modernize and simplify customer lifecycle management (CLM) and service delivery to carriers.

After the early telecom direction, the partnership will diversify into financial services, manufacturing, and software development.

In the financial services industry, companies work to help clients identify and evaluate risk more quickly, automate compliance reporting, and provide customized customer service, including the delivery of financial advice based on complete account history and market conditions.

In manufacturing and engineering, companies will use Claude to shorten product design and simulation at the expense of research and development cycles, allowing engineers to test more iterations of the product before manufacturing.

Dario Amodei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder, Anthropic, notes, “There’s a big gap between an AI model that works in a demo and one that works in a regulated industry – and if you want to close that gap, you need domain expertise.”

“Infosys has exactly that kind of expertise across important industries: telecom, financial services, and manufacturing.”

Infosys ranked #11 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2026 edition of the OA500 is expected to be released in March. (Read the OA500 2026 methodology paper here.)

Leveraging agentic AI and Claude Code for workflow automation

A primary focus of the collaboration is the development of agentic AI—systems designed to independently handle multi-step tasks rather than simply responding to queries.

Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, notes, “Our collaboration with Anthropic marks a strategic leap toward advancing enterprise AI, enabling organizations to unlock value and become more intelligent, resilient, and responsible.”

Using Anthropic’s tools, including the Claude Agent SDK, Infosys and Anthropic will help clients build persistent AI agents capable of managing long, complex processes across enterprise operations.

These systems are intended to automate functions such as processing claims, generating and testing code, and managing compliance reviews.

The integration of Anthropic’s Claude models, including the recently introduced Claude Code, with Infosys Topaz AI offerings is central to accelerating software delivery and modernizing legacy systems.

Infosys is also implementing Claude Code within its exponential engineering to write, test, and debug code, building internal know-how that will explicitly guide client work.

This holistic solution is meant to assist clients in reimagining the enterprise operating model by integrating engineering scale with the governance and transparency demanded by regulated industries.

“From modernizing financial services with intelligent risk management and compliance, to enabling engineering businesses to lead with AI-driven design and manufacturing, the goal is to leverage the joint expertise of Infosys and Anthropic to accelerate AI value realization for global enterprises,” said Parekh.
