Infosys employees increased to 240K in third quarter

Infosys said its number of employees has increased to 240,208 in the third quarter from 239,233 in the second quarter. In addition, the firm also said the number of software professionals has increased to 226,067 in the third quarter from 225,167 in the previous quarter.
The IT services provider stated that its Q2 revenues were $3.312 billion, registering growth of 3.2 per cent year-on-year and 6.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter. Operating profit of Infosys was $840 million, clocking growth of 20.7 per cent year-on-year and 18.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
“Our digital and cloud capabilities combined with intense client relevance are helping us achieve differentiated results in the market as is visible in 2.2 per cent year on year overall revenue growth and 25.4 per cent growth from digital offerings, which now are at 47.3 per cent of revenues,” said Salil Parekh, CEO and MD of Infosys.
