Infosys inks deal to enhance LKQ Europe’s tech

BENGALURU, INDIA — Information technology firm Infosys has inked a five-year pact with aftermarket car parts distributor LKQ Europe to enhance its tech systems with the aim of streamlining processes to achieve cost efficiencies.
Infosys will furnish LKQ Europe’s systems with latest technology to synchronize its business operations to improve product availability and bolster its delivery to customers.
The IT firm will utilize its expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and its experience in the automotive industry to aid in LKQ Europe’s long-term business growth.
LKQ Europe is based in Zug, Switzerland and employs over 26,000 and has a network of more than 1,000 branches. It supplies more than 100,000 workshops in over 20 European countries.
“With Infosys as our strategic partner, we are aiming to reduce complexities, increase efficiency and leverage our strengths. This will allow us to upgrade our focus on customer-centricity, ensure best in class customer experiences and further excel our top position,” said LKQ Europe Chief Executive Officer Varun Laroyia.
LKQ Europe’s collaboration with Infosys comes after several key acquisitions in 2023. In February, the firm acquired Dutch supplier of remanufactured engines and recycled original equipment manufacturer (OEM) car parts, Rhenoy Group.
In July, the Swiss firm purchased aftermarket commercial parts distributor Digraph specializing in heavy goods vehicle, coach and bus parts, Digraph. The following month, LKQ Europe completed its acquisition of automotive refinish and industrial coatings company Uni-Select Inc.
