Infosys, Google Cloud launch AI innovation hub in India

BENGALURU, INDIA — Global digital services and consulting leader Infosys has partnered with Google Cloud to launch a new Center of Excellence. This initiative aims to accelerate enterprise AI innovation and foster the co-creation of transformative solutions. With a workforce of over 300,000 professionals, Infosys has already enabled more than 60,000 employees on Google Cloud platforms.
Strategic AI solutions: From retail to technology
The center will focus on developing customized enterprise solutions across multiple domains, including contact center AI, software development lifecycle, and application modernization. The collaboration leverages Infosys Topaz AI capabilities and Infosys Cobalt cloud services, combined with Google Cloud’s generative AI technology.
Infosys previously offered its AI-first platform, Infosys Topaz, to support Europe’s online pet retailer zooplus in digitalizing its e-commerce operations. With the partnership, zooplus will transform marketing, the supply chain, and customer experience through advanced AI technologies.
Additionally, international beauty retailer and distributor Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. (SBH) collaborated with Infosys to revolutionize SBH’s IT operations through the implementation of AI-driven hyper-automation and best practices in IT service delivery.
Innovation hub development
A dedicated AI Experience Zone has been established at Infosys’s Bengaluru campus, serving as a demonstration facility for enterprises to witness AI-powered solutions firsthand.

The company achieved revenues of $4.89 billion for the second quarter ending September 30, 2024, reflecting a sequential growth of 3.1% and a year-on-year increase of 3.3% in constant currency. The operating margin remained steady at 21.1%, highlighting Infosys’ commitment to financial stability amidst challenging market conditions.
