Infosys-led HIPUS strengthens growth with Mitsubishi investment

BENGALURU, INDIA and TOKYO, JAPAN — HIPUS, an Infosys-led joint venture (JV) transforming procurement processes for Japanese enterprises, is gaining momentum with new investment from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).
Through this new agreement, MHI acquired a 2% stake in HIPUS from Infosys. The investment is expected to open new opportunities for both companies as they work to digitally upgrade procurement operations not just in Japan, but globally.
The move will help HIPUS accelerate its support for enterprise customers seeking to modernize business processes through advanced digital platforms.
Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, holds a majority stake in HIPUS, which was established in 2019. The JV specializes in providing end-to-end procurement services, sourcing expertise, and next-generation analytics solutions to Japanese corporations.
