Infosys India to reduce 1,300 executives to flatten organization
Infosys India is undertaking a major restructuring at the higher levels in order to flatten the organization and make decision-making faster. As part of this, the firm will trim its workforce at job level (JL) 7 and above, those in the ranks of delivery managers, industry principal, AVPs, VPs, and SVPs.
The company has around 13,000 employees in JL7 levels and above. The plan is to reduce 10 to 15 per cent of them in a staggered manner, which would impact over 1,300 executives.
A spokesperson for the company said that Infosys has no plans or targets for workforce reduction. However, some involuntary attrition is integral to the normal course of business every year at Infosys.
