Infosys partners with HanesBrands for decade-long AI transformation

BENGALURU, INDIA — Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consultancy, formed a decade-long partnership with HanesBrands, a global leader in iconic apparel, to modernize its processes with AI-driven solutions.
The partnership will focus on enhancing technical systems, refining company processes, and exploring new value through data insights.
Driving efficiency with AI-first platforms
Under the ten-year agreement, Infosys will be HanesBrands’ strategic partner in reshaping its digital, business applications, and data ecosystems.
The program will use Infosys’ proprietary Live Enterprise Automation Platform (LEAP), integrated into Infosys Topaz, the company’s suite of AI-first services and platforms.
By embedding generative AI and AIOps, HanesBrands plans to simplify its IT systems, reduce complexity, and speed up decision-making.
Scott Pleiman, Chief Strategy, Transformation, Analytics, and Technology Officer at HanesBrands, explained the move: “As we continue to evolve our operational model, we sought an experienced collaborator with deep domain expertise and advanced capabilities in AI-driven transformation. Infosys’ AI-first approach and proven ability to scale innovation aligned with our long-term vision for agility, efficiency and customer-centricity.”
Infosys sees this deal as a model for the retail and consumer goods industry.
Karmesh Vaswani, EVP & Global Head, Consumer, Retail & Logistics at Infosys, said: “We are honored to support HanesBrands in its journey toward a future-ready enterprise. With a shared commitment to innovation, we aim to unlock significant business value and elevate customer experiences utilizing Infosys Topaz AI and AIOps capabilities, now further strengthened with LEAP.”
Infosys positions outsourcing as innovation partner
The partnership between Infosys and Hanesbrands is not only concerned with technology but is, in fact, indicative of a broader trend in outsourcing.
Companies are seeking a competitive edge to accelerate their adoption of AI, and these types of engagements are the nature of the services provided in outsourcing arrangements.
Service providers are seeing themselves as anything but an option that simply lowers costs. Rather, they are positioning themselves as capable of bringing the innovation and competitive advantages that matter in international markets, and this is part of the future of outsourcing.
Infosys ranked #11 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
