Infosys and Posti expand AI-driven partnership for logistics innovation

BENGALURU, INDIA — IT giant Infosys announced a seven-year expansion of its strategic collaboration with Posti, which offers delivery and logistics services in Finland, Sweden, and the Baltics.
As part of this expansion, Infosys would work with Posti to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency through an AI-first strategy on Infosys Topaz.
Revolutionizing logistics with AI and cloud technologies
As part of this engagement, Infosys will deploy the AI-driven approach, which will be powered by its AI-first offering, Infosys Topaz, based on generative AI technologies. This will provide Posti with operational efficiency and improved service quality.
Infosys Cobalt will also leverage LEAP-the Live Enterprise Application Management Platform-for NextGen Application Management Services, fast-tracking Posti’s journey to the cloud, thereby driving business productivity.
“We are pleased to announce the renewal of our collaboration with Infosys for another seven years. By harnessing the power of AI through Infosys Topaz and cloud capabilities through Infosys Cobalt, we aim to create a more efficient and customer centric organization,” said Petteri Naulapää, CIO & SVP of ICT and Digitalization at Posti Group.
“The collaboration with Infosys will accelerate our digital transformation journey and help us deliver exceptional services, optimize our operations, and strengthen our position as a leading delivery and logistics provider.”
Strengthening Nordic presence, digital transformation
Karmesh Vaswani, EVP and Global Head of Retail, Consumer Goods & Logistics at Infosys, highlighted the company’s growing presence in the Nordics and expertise in AI-powered transformation. He emphasized that this extension demonstrates Infosys’ commitment to delivering tailored next-generation services and solutions to address the unique challenges faced by clients in the region.
“By leveraging cutting-edge Gen AI alongside our comprehensive digital suite, we aim to propel Posti’s competitiveness even further within Finland, Sweden, and the Baltics. This next phase of our work will empower Posti to not only become a leader in the logistics and e-commerce sector, but a true digital frontrunner in the Nordics,” said Vaswani.
The collaboration has already given significant results in the past five years-from enabling Infosys to improve the robustness of IT systems, reduce outages and disruption, and enhance cybersecurity at Posti. The partnership has also enabled contemporary front-end consumer applications and even replaced a set of legacy systems and processes.
